감정과학센터 Center for Science of Feelings

감정과학센터는 감정을 인간 삶의 부수적 현상이나 단순한 심리 상태로 보지 않습니다. 감정은 인간이 자신을 이해하고 타자와 관계를 맺으며, 세계를 인식하고 문화와 예술을 창조하며 사회적 행위를 구성하는 과정에 깊이 관여합니다.

센터는 이러한 문제의식 위에서 감정과학(Science of Feelings)을 학제적 연구의 중심에 놓고, 국제 연구의 최신 성과를 비판적으로 검토하는 일과 감정에 관한 연구성과를 축적하고 확산하는 일을 함께 수행합니다.

The Center for Science of Feelings does not regard emotion as a peripheral phenomenon of human life or as a merely psychological state. Emotion is deeply involved in how human beings understand themselves, relate to others, perceive the world, create culture and art, and organize social action.

From this perspective, the Center places Science of Feelings at the core of interdisciplinary inquiry. It critically reviews the latest developments in international research while also accumulating and disseminating original scholarship on emotion.

情感科学中心并不把情感视为人类生活中的附带现象，也不将其简化为单纯的心理状态。情感深刻参与人如何理解自身、与他者建立关系、认识世界、创造文化与艺术，以及形成社会行动的全过程。

基于这一问题意识，本中心将情感科学（Science of Feelings）置于跨学科研究的核心，一方面批判性地考察国际前沿研究成果，另一方面持续积累并传播有关情感的原创性研究成果。
